Web Mind Maps Update

In my last entry I expressed surprise that there had been so little web based progress with mind mapping software (being a bit of a fan). What do you know 3 new tools bubbl.us, Mindmo and MindMeister have been launched. There is an excellent overview article which points out that only MindMeister makes us of Ajax. Although not the prettiest I have found MindMeister the easiest to use particularly as a regular Freemind user. I continue to look forward to a greater role of such tools in everyday web navigation.

Web based mind mapping

The last ten months have seen what I can only describe as an explosion of mind mapping tools on the web. A year ago there was just Webofweb.net and Mayomi.net. Mayomi has since gone under, but now we have those you have mentioned, as well as: comapping.com, glinkr.net, mapio.com, mapul.com, mind42.com, wisemapping.com and, mentioned already, webofweb.net

We've seen some come and go in short order (bubble-mind.com, kayuda.com) as well.

If you like mind mapping, do have a look at mindmapsearch.org. It has a search box that gives results from all the key mind mapping sites (and only from them), and it has all the mind mapping authority sites sorted into categories.
